â€œSigns have become increasingly popular, up 48% in searches this year – and among the most recorded photos on the platform, we see walls adorned in various styles. Surprisingly versatile, Pollard says there is a style to suit any room or home, whether it’s subtle strapping, traditional shaker styles, or more modern linear siding designs. Additionally, interior designers are reporting an increase in demands for paneling, especially for bedrooms and hallways.
â€œWith an evolution towards a more comforting aesthetic, curved and fluted designs are gaining popularity, designers and architects at Houzz using them to add softness to spaces otherwise filled with hard surfaces. ”
Pollard also says archways, rounded furniture, and curved kitchen islands all feature prominently in the most popular photos on Houzz this year.
â€œWhere 2020 has seen an interest in growing and gardening tasks, this year is about creating a relaxing outdoor room, with spaces designed for cooking, eating, relaxing and socializing,â€ Pollard notes.
â€œRecent photos uploaded to Houzz feature comfortable garden seating areas, fitted with rugs, comfy sofas, bunk cushions and heaters.â€
